Regency
Energy Partners is a midstream gas gathering and processing,
contract compression and transportation company. Regency
owns approximately 5,224 miles of gas gathering pipeline,
760,000 horsepower of third-party compression, and eight active
processing and treating plants. Regency's assets
also include a 49.99% interest in the RIGS Haynesville Joint Venture,
which owns the Regency Intrastate Gas System, a 450-mile
intrastate pipeline in North Louisiana, and a 49.9% ownership
interest in the Midcontinent Express Pipeline, a 500-mile
interstate natural gas pipeline system that extends from
southeast Oklahoma to an interconnect with the Transcontinental
Gas Pipe Line system in Butler, Alabama. Regency's assets are
located in some of the most prolific gas producing regions of
the United States, including the Haynesville, Eagle Ford,
Barnett, Fayetteville and Marcellus Shales. Our customers
include major and independent southwestern gas producers.
Our operations are divided into three primary business segments:
- Gathering and Processing: We provide wellhead-to-market services to producers of natural gas, which include transporting raw natural gas from the wellhead through gathering systems, processing raw natural gas to separate NGLs from the raw natural gas, and selling or delivering the pipeline-quality natural gas and NGLs to various markets and pipeline systems.
- Transportation: We provide natural gas intrastate transportation services through our joint venture interest in the Regency Intrastate Gas System (RIGS), which Regency operates on behalf of the RIGS Haynesville Joint Venture. In addition, we provide interstate transportation services through our joint venture interest in the Midcontinent Express Pipeline (MEP), which is operated by Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P.
- Contract Compression: We provide customers with turn-key natural gas compression services.
The Corporate and Others Segment is Regency's fourth reporting segment and is primarily comprised of Regency's corporate offices and Gulf States Transmission Corporation, a 10-mile interstate pipeline that extends from Harrison County, Texas to Caddo Parrish, Louisiana.
