Contract Compression
In January 2008, Regency Energy Partners LP acquired CDM Resource Management LLC. CDM provides customers with turn-key natural gas contract compression services to maximize their natural gas and crude oil production, throughput, and cash flow in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Pennsylvania.
CDM's integrated natural gas compression solutions include a comprehensive assessment of a customer’s compression needs and the design and installation of a customer-specific compression system to address those particular needs. CDM is responsible for the installation and on-going operation, service and repair of our compression units and we guarantee our customers 98% mechanical availability of our compression units for land installations and 96% mechanical availability for over-water installations. We believe that these benefits enable our customers to increase their cashflow through increased production and throughput, as well as lower their production costs.
Substantially all of CDM’s customers that have contracted for services since our formation in 1997 remain active customers today.

Contract Compression is ultimately about generating revenue for the customer and that starts with the commitment of CDM to its employees.
Our continuous commitment to our personnel is to educate and empower them with the resources necessary to allow them to be the most passionate and loyal workforce in our industry. The technician's highest priority is to focus on predictive, preventative maintenance. Our people cannot be successful without adhering to a stringent maintenance program that has been tested and refined over a long period of time.
Our technicians have the ability, on a day-to-day, real-time basis, to maximize efficiency and throughput by moving the optimum amount of gas, while minimizing horsepower, and in turn, fuel consumption. They are given new, state-of-the-art equipment, comprehensive benefits, a detailed internal training program, a support system of an entire company, and they are dedicated to being the best in the industry. Parts inventory and availability is also essential. Each technician has full access to an extensive parts inventory, located in local storage containers, area-specific warehouses or in individual parts boxes that accompany each unit.
