Our goal is to become a premier investment-grade midstream service provider by delivering top quality service to customers and top quartile growth in unitholder value. We intend to achieve this by executing the following strategies:
- Obtain scale in business segments and regions We'll do this by optimizing our existing assets and managing costs to help maximize the value of our current asset base. We will develop and implement complementary organic growth projects that expand our midstream presence, address producer demand to position us for future growth, and build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Manage using results-oriented organizational philosophy Our integrated corporate culture has clear goals and objectives at all levels of the organization. Supportive strategic planning and performance management processes are in place. With a culture based on respect, where every employee is accountable, we are better positioned to more consistently deliver on our goals and optimize our return on invested capital.
- Balance business profile by sector, region and commodity exposure We believe diversification of business segments provides multiple earnings streams and reduces risk. Our focus is to increasingly add fee-based assets designed to generate stable cash flows, and to maintain a solid hedging program to mitigate the impact of fluctuations in commodity prices. In addition, we intent to optimize profitability of our existing assets by controlling and reducing operating costs, and realizing synergies across business segments and regions.
- Enhance financial strength We continue to work toward strengthening our balance sheet and ensuring sufficient liquidity, allowing the financial flexibility to pursue growth opportunities as they arise. We will optimize the growth of cash flow while taking into account the stability of capital markets and will conservatively finance acquisitions and growth projects.
