Safety
Regency considers our employees and contractors health and safety to be of paramount importance. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety. We want to make sure our operations remain as safe as possible to protect the public, our employees and the environment. We are committed to making Regency a leader in health and safety by achieving injury-free workplaces
We must consider health and safety in every decision we make and in every activity we perform. Regency cares about the health and safety of our fellow employees, their communities, the public, our customers, contractors and visitors. Regency has an extensive safety training program, both to comply with the numerous and complex Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS)/State Pipeline Office mandated regulatory training requirements, and also, to go above and beyond the training requirements when additional training will help to keep our employees and the public safe. We are constantly looking for improved ways to train our employee associates to do their jobs in the safest way possible.
Pipelines are the safest, most reliable and efficient manner of transporting energy products. Statistics gathered by the Federal National Transportation Safety Board document that less than one one-hundredth of one percent (.01%), or just one in 10,000, of all transportation accidents in the U.S. are related to pipelines. Pipelines exist almost everywhere throughout the United States — generally buried underground — and safely transport the energy and products that you depend on every day to fuel your vehicle, heat your home, generate electricity, cook your food, and much more. All of us use products and services provided by pipelines each day. Pipelines are a vital and efficient part of our countries infrastructure.
